The backstory
Ramp provides corporate cards and spend management, automating expense reports, approvals and accounting for companies. ChatGPT can reason over an exported expense file, but that's a parlor trick next to what Ramp does. It survived because the moat is the financial platform itself: issuing real cards, moving money, enforcing spend policies, syncing to accounting systems and the compliance and controls finance teams require. AI can summarize spending; it can't be the regulated system that actually holds the cards and processes the payments.
