The backstory
Vendr made its name by publishing real SaaS pricing data and negotiating contracts on behalf of customers, charging tens of thousands of dollars a year for access to that intelligence and its negotiators. AI agents can now draft negotiation emails and cross-reference publicly scraped pricing benchmarks for free, and Vendr's own published pricing data has ironically made it easier for anyone to build a comparable database without paying Vendr for it.
