The backstory
QuickBooks is the default small-business accounting tool, connecting bank feeds, invoicing, payroll and tax filing. AI can categorize transactions and answer bookkeeping questions, and Intuit added its own AI assistant, but the moat is deeper: live bank connections, tax compliance and the huge network of accountants who work in QuickBooks daily. Those relationships and integrations aren't a chatbot feature. It survived because the compliance, bank feeds and accountant ecosystem lock businesses in far beyond what AI analysis touches.
