Stitch
Google's tool for generating user interface designs and front-end code from prompts.
why this verdict
Keep it — Google has not replaced it
Google's version overlaps, but does not finish the design job, so this one is still worth keeping open.
- A named launch, not a vibe named, unlinked
- Figma Make, v0 and Lovable competing for the same prompt-to-interface workflow. Google, May 20, 2025 — no announcement link recorded yet.
- How much of the job it covers not the job editorial call
- Parts of it. The job still needs the tool to get finished.
- Is there a free way to do it? yes
- 2 of 3 listed replacements have a usable free tier: v0 and Uizard.
- What the call is worth nothing to cancel
- No paid entry tier tracked, so there is no subscription to cancel.

The backstory
Stitch generates interface designs and the code behind them from a text prompt or an uploaded sketch, exporting to Figma or straight to markup. Being free and attached to Google's model stack gives it distribution that standalone competitors have to buy. Its position in a very crowded field rests on whether Google keeps investing, which is the standing risk with every Google product, and on the quality of Gemini's design output relative to specialist tools.
