InVision
The prototyping layer disappeared into the tools on both sides of it.
YES
why this verdict
Cancel it — switch to Figma
Figma and Penpot now cover the same core job, so there is little reason to run a second tool for it.
- A named launch, not a vibe named, unlinked
- Prototyping collapsed into design tools and then into code generation. OpenAI, May 13, 2024 — no announcement link recorded yet.
- How much of the job it covers all of it editorial call
- The whole core job — the thing the subscription was actually for.
- Is there a free way to do it? yes
- 2 of 3 listed replacements have a usable free tier: Figma and Penpot.
- What the call is worth nothing to cancel
- No paid entry tier tracked, so there is no subscription to cancel.

The backstory
InVision made static mockups clickable and gave stakeholders somewhere to comment. Figma absorbed both jobs, and then AI absorbed the next one up: describe the screen and get working code, skipping the prototype entirely. InVision shut down its core service at the end of 2024. A clean two-stage death.
