The backstory
Phot.AI bundled the standard AI photo operations, background removal, object erasure, upscaling and generative product backgrounds, into one affordable subscription aimed at small e-commerce sellers. Every one of those operations is now free somewhere the customer already is: in Google Photos, in the iPhone camera roll, in Canva, in the Gemini app. When each individual feature of a bundle becomes a free commodity, the bundle has nothing left to charge for.
