The backstory
NightCafe was one of the first places ordinary people generated AI art, wrapping open models in a friendly credit system with daily challenges and a social gallery. Its value was access plus community at a time when running a model yourself was hard. Access is now free everywhere and better, and the community layer alone has not been enough to hold an audience that can generate a superior image inside the chat app already open on their phone.
