The backstory
Mosaic connected to a company's ERP, CRM and HR systems to auto-generate SaaS metrics and three-statement models without waiting on manual spreadsheet work. As ERP vendors add native AI forecasting copilots directly into the systems finance teams already run on, the case for a separate strategic finance layer got harder to make. That pressure was part of why Mosaic was acquired by the HR platform HiBob in February 2025 for 35 million dollars rather than continuing to compete as an independent standalone company.
