The backstory
Kickresume built a business around AI-generated resume bullet points and cover letters wrapped in templates. But a free chatbot now writes and tailors an entire resume to a specific job in seconds, leaving only the formatting layer, which plenty of free tools also handle. There's little reason to pay a subscription for GPT output you can get directly. It's killed because the AI writing was the whole pitch, and that writing is now free and better from the source.
