A
Autumn
Open-source pricing and entitlement layer that sits on top of Stripe.
NOT REALLY
why this verdict
Keep it — Anthropic has not replaced it
Anthropic's version overlaps, but does not finish the finance job, so this one is still worth keeping open.
- A named launch, not a vibe named, unlinked
- Stripe adding entitlement and feature-gating primitives directly to its billing product. Anthropic, February 10, 2026 — no announcement link recorded yet.
- How much of the job it covers not the job editorial call
- Parts of it. The job still needs the tool to get finished.
- Is there a free way to do it? paid only
- 3 replacements listed, all paid.
- What the call is worth nothing to cancel
- No paid entry tier tracked, so there is no subscription to cancel.

The backstory
Autumn handles the part of billing that lives in application code rather than the payment processor: what plan is this user on, how many credits are left, should this feature be enabled. Teams normally write that themselves and regret it the first time pricing changes. Stripe could absorb entitlements, and probably will in some form. Autumn's bet is that pricing experiments happen weekly at AI companies, and a layer that lets you change plans without a deploy is worth owning separately.
