The backstory
Splice rents access to millions of cleared samples, loops and presets that producers drag into their DAW. AI music tools can generate a loop instantly, but rights clarity is the whole reason Splice exists and generated audio still carries licensing uncertainty. Producers also want specific recognisable sounds, not an approximation. Splice added AI search on top instead of being replaced by it.
