The backstory
Odyssey builds interactive video rather than clips, generating each frame in response to input so a viewer can walk through a scene that does not exist and was never rendered by a game engine. That is a genuinely different product category from text-to-video, closer to a holodeck than to a film tool. The frontier labs are heading toward the same territory with world models, and being early with a working interactive experience is a real if temporary lead.
