The backstory
June packaged product analytics into ready-made reports so startups could see usage without building dashboards. LLMs that answer data questions in plain English and auto-generate charts eroded the value of preset report templates. The company itself pivoted toward AI-native analytics as the original wedge lost distinction. Because the templated-reports core was overtaken, it reads as killed in its original form.
