Jules
Google's asynchronous coding agent that clones a repo and opens pull requests.
why this verdict
Keep it — Google has not replaced it
Google's version overlaps, but does not finish the dev tools job, so this one is still worth keeping open.

The backstory
Jules works the way an offloaded task should: it clones the repository into a cloud virtual machine, plans a change, runs the tests and opens a pull request while you do something else. Google's advantage is a free tier and integration with a model with a very large context window. Its difficulty is mindshare, since developers had already formed habits around competing agents by the time it reached general availability, and habit is the hardest thing to dislodge in developer tools.
