The backstory
Freepik is a huge library of stock graphics, vectors, photos and icons that designers pull assets from. AI image generation could have gutted a stock library, but Freepik went the other way and bundled multiple AI image and video generators straight into the subscription. It survived by keeping the curated asset library as the base and adding generation on top, so users get both find-it and make-it in one place rather than choosing.
