The backstory
Black Magic became indie-Twitter canon by surfacing the numbers X refused to show: impressions per follower, best posting hour, engagement decay. X then built a creator analytics tab of its own and tied it to monetisation, which removed most of the urgency. It survives on taste and on the metrics X still will not show you.
