The backstory
Zenhub layered sprint boards, velocity charts and burndown reports on top of GitHub's issue tracker, giving engineering teams project management without leaving their code repository. GitHub, owned by Microsoft, has steadily built out its own native Projects boards and Copilot Workspace features that cover much of the same sprint-planning ground for free within the platform Zenhub depends on entirely. A tool that exists purely as a layer on someone else's API has no real defense once that platform builds the same layer itself and gives it away.
