The backstory
Stytch covers authentication plus the fraud layer around it, with device fingerprinting and bot detection that most auth vendors leave to someone else. Free framework libraries take the simplest projects and Clerk took a great deal of the developer attention. Stytch's timing improved when agents started logging into things: distinguishing a legitimate automated agent from an attacker is a new and genuinely unsolved problem, and it is closer to that problem than the pure identity vendors.
