The backstory
Monday.com is a work OS where teams run projects, track tasks and build custom workflows across boards. Agentic automation can move items and draft updates, and Monday added AI blocks for exactly that, but the product owns the structured work data and the processes teams have configured. AI is one more block inside that system, not a replacement for it. It survived because the workflow data and the shared workspace are the moat, and AI plugs in rather than displacing it.
