The backstory
Confluence holds an enormous amount of institutional knowledge and integrates with Jira, which is why it stays. But the reason to carefully structure a wiki — so search worked — matters less when a model reads the whole space and answers directly, and cheaper tools do that over any document store. Wounded: entrenched, not preferred.
