Keep paying — Anthropic has not replaced it

The backstory
Boot.dev teaches backend engineering through exercises you actually complete rather than videos you watch, with a deliberate stance against letting AI do the work while you are learning. The macro threat to all developer education is that entry-level hiring contracted as AI absorbed junior tasks. Its counter-argument is the one the industry is slowly conceding: engineers who cannot read and judge generated code are worthless in an agent-heavy workflow, and fundamentals became more valuable, not less.
