The backstory
Better Auth exploded on developer X by being the thing people actually wanted: real auth in your own database, typed end to end, plugins for two-factor, organisations and passkeys, no per-MAU bill. It rides the same instinct that makes people distrust generated auth code — read the library, own the tables.
